Kimchi Untuk Awak (Saya, sebenarnya...)

Watikah hari ini adalah...

Hi.  Lama dah Mak tak nulis kat sini.  Pada dasarnya sekarang kalau Mak mental, kapasiti tersebut tak terbawak kat sini. Sebab mental yang dah tak crack, tak kelakar; malah memencilkan diri untuk bercakap sensorang dalam bahasa omputeh somewhere over the rainbow way up high.  Tu sebab kena cari ulasan inspirasi kat tempat lain.  Dan sebab Mak bengang Wordpress tak boleh bukak to write, sesuailah ia dilempiaskan ke sini.

Have any of you watched Kimchi Buat Awak?  Okay.  Aku dah tengok 7 kali.  Mak siap DM Michael Ang lagi sebab kenapa orang kata the movie in Astro is not same as the movie kat panggung. Haha.

Last scene memang cliche gila.  But I enjoyed the whole movie.  I appreciate the feel.  Tapi rasa macam tak puas sebab ending time rolling nama production team tu ada tunjuk some other scenes that were not included in the movie itself.  Macam, "WHAT HAPPENED IN THOSE OTHER SCENES??" and "KENAPA DIORANG TAK INCLUDE SEKALI?" "WHY??" Terus nak kena beli bukunya.  I need to know whatever else happened.

I think, Emma Maembong did a good job as Bella.  It's not easy to just simply tersentuh and break into an ugly cry when you remember someone - because that's how it feels like when you miss someone. Or to senyum in misery.  Dan dia pandai improvise scenes.

What I liked about it was, Aiman Hakim (Daniel Lee), was so cheeky and his emotions were so open yang buat dengan aku-aku pun termasuk dalam mata dia bila dia kenyit kat Bella.  Aku dengan tak sedar diri ni pun jawab, "Yes," sambil terpinga, macam Bella gak.  I really felt this, in the scene masa diorang kat dalam setor kat kampung tu.  When Daniel tells Bella, "Sebab kau tak nak kawin dengan aku, dan aku pun tak nak kawin dengan kau" pastu terus Bella lari.  How can something so simple, be so intimate sampai aku pun boleh rasa?  So do you get what I mean when I say he's so open?

I'm so intrigued by the characters.  Aku nak tau and dissect the emotional trigger to kenapa dia nak selamatkan Bella, and mengapa Bella terima.  Aku tau yang it's more than nak lari dari Faris tu (yang OMG memang anak aku tengok Engku Haris tu pun sampai berkerut-kerut muka, "Eee dia tak tau ke orang tak suka?" sebelum aku pun bantai gelak dengan dia).  It's the plunging into life that was decided just like that.

When was the last time you took a risk?
Have you ever thought about it?
Was it worth it?
Did you regret it?
Would you do it again?

Taking a risk is actually catapulting yourself to somewhere you've probably never been.  But it wakes you up inside.  It keeps you alive knowing you've got so many more options to do.

I feel something with this movie.  I feel something with this story line.  I need to get my hands on the book.  And I want to accomplish something.  It makes me feel like I've left something unfinished.

You know, I've always been a writer.  Stories in my head.  Scripts that I've written...  This movie has really put me in that place of serene.  I hope to be there for some time.  High and happy.  Maybe also go stalk Aiman at his father's house for no reason at all.  Pastu aku kena kenyih kata kat pak dia, "Minta maaf tapi saya redha kalau tidak dimengakukan sebagai ex-staff awak, walaupun saya sedar diri dengan keadaan diri sendiri".

No matter what the other reviews say about the movie being bad, I think Michael Ang did a good job.  It made me feel something.  It moved me.  And it makes me want to take that flying fox in Nami Island.
